Lake San Marcos has approximately 2,200 homes and 3,700 residents. There are also two wonderful golf courses within the community -- the championship semi-private Country Club Course and the challenging 18-hole 2,700-yard public executive course. You will find beautiful luxury homes and condos surrounding the golf courses.

A neighbor to the Lake San Marcos community, San Elijo Hills is expected to grow to 3,400 homes on 2,000 acres over the next ten years and will be situated in the hills behind Lake San Marcos. This, of course, will escalate the property value appreciation in San Marcos. At this time San Marcos real estate consists of neighborhoods, some resembling a Mediterranean style, and all well maintained. Beautiful manufactured homes account for about 12 percent of San Marcos housing.
